About us

One team accountable for every vessel

We manage vessels with a single principle: for each ship there is one clear line of accountability for safety, machinery, crew and cost. No divided responsibility, no gaps between departments, no surprises for the owner.

Our story

Who we are

Plaza Mayor International Group Ltd is a private ship management company incorporated in Hong Kong, with its operating office in Shanghai. Hong Kong gives the company a stable corporate and legal base. Shanghai puts our superintendents within reach of shipyards, suppliers and the officer pool that keeps a crude oil fleet trading.

Our business is the technical and ISM management of oil tankers, and the organisation is equipped for oil and chemical tanker management. We work for owners who want their vessels managed to the standards required by oil majors such as Shell and BP, and who judge a manager on retention, downtime and claims rather than on promises.

The company is listed on Equasis under IMO company number 0275566, and there have been no protection and indemnity losses across the managed fleet in the past five years.

Mission

Zero accident, zero injury and zero environmental damage. We control and reduce even our permitted emissions, and we protect the best interests of our customers in every decision taken ashore.

Vision

To continuously improve safety, health, environment and quality performance, to be a leader of industry standards, and to become a top international ship management service provider.

Values

Creating Value. Pursuing Excellence. Two short phrases that decide how we prioritise maintenance, how we brief a Master, and how we report to an owner.

Organisation

Four departments, one safety management system

Responsibility is divided clearly so nothing falls between desks, and the departments share one documented system rather than four local habits.

Safety and Quality

Custody of the safety management system, internal audits, incident investigation, corrective action and preparation for oil major inspections.

Marine

Navigation and cargo standards, voyage support, tank cleaning and gas freeing guidance, port and terminal interface.

Technical

Planned maintenance, machinery condition, spares and stores, repair specifications, dry docking and budget control.

Human Resources

Selection, appraisal, retention and competence development for tanker officers and ratings, with matrix compliance.
